How to become LIC agent?

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility of the person applying to be an LIC agent must be 10th pass and he/she must be of 18 years age.
The candidate must submit relevant documents and appear for the IRDA exam. The IRDA exam is of 1 hour and consists of 50 MCQ based questions. The candidate must receive at least 35% marks (17/50) to pass the exam and be eligible for further process.
Once you pass the exam, you will receive an appointment letter, IRDA certificate and ID card.

Fees Structure

- Registration fees – ₹150
- Training fees – ₹100
- IRDA exam fees – ₹504

Total – ₹754

Exam

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA) exam is an MCQ based test that consists of 50 questions of one mark each. In order to pass, the candidate must get 35% marks, that is 17/50 marks.
There is no negative marking. After passing the exam, the candidate will receive an IRDA certificate which will be valid for three years.
